Of the 41,058 visitors to last year's exhibition, ,ore than 80% had a specific interest in building and construction.
WATER TECHNOLOGY & ENVIRONMENT
Like to many government policies in most countries of the world, those of the GCC too are focused on the development of new projects and effective strategies to improve water use and management, as well as on mechanisms for reducing all kinds of waste and emissions.
The Big 5 each year attracts thousands of visitors looking for just such new products, technologies and services.
AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION
In virtually every new building and construction project in the region, the latest products and technologies for air conditioning, cooling and refrigeration - including indoor & outdoor air treatment & both high and low-tech solutions - are of paramount importance and always in great demand.
At last year's Big 5 Exhibition around 21,000 visitors indicated a specific interest in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
The astonishing growth during the past decade of the hospitality, leisure and commercial infrastructure in the Gulf countries has created a huge market for cleaning, facility management & maintenance products & services. Projected development in the region means that this market will continue to increase for the foreseeable future.
This is one of the most effective ways for investors to protect their property in the long term. Last year, more than 10,000 trade visitors came to see exhibitors in this sector.
GLASS & METAL
The spectacular examples of contemporary architecture & sophisticated civil engineering which can be found all over the region, show just how enthusiastic the Middle East is for these products and the vital importance of this sector.
In 2006, nearly 9,000 professionals came to The Big 5 looking for suppliers and services in this sector.
BATHROOMS & CERAMICS
No less technical and sophisticated than the other sectors at The Big 5 exhibition, bathrooms & ceramics is of key, indeed even cultural importance in the Gulf region.
During The Big 5 last year, the number of professionals wanting to meet suppliers of ceramics & other products and services for bathrooms and spas was more than 12,900.
MARBLE & STONE
The marble & stone sector provides a platform for companies to show natural and artificial minerals & stone for interiors and exteriors and a wide variety of related processes, technologies, tools and accessories.
